Lenoir County Public Schools strives to provide an appropriately challenging learning experience for students who perform, or show potential for performing, at high levels of accomplishment.  Academically or intellectually gifted students show high achievement in intellectual areas, specific academic areas, or in both areas.

Academically or intellectually gifted students require differentiated services above those provided by the regular learning environment.  The Lenoir County Public Schools AIG program is committed to meeting the educational needs of students with special gifts, talents and abilities found in all ethnic, geographic, and socioeconomic groups.
